WBC Complete Hand Assembled Beehive

All our hive boxes are made exclusively hand made in our own workshop from British Western Red Cedar timber. The lifts are made from pine.

All purchases of complete bee hives come with bee keeping support from our own bee keeper who has 40 years of experience keeping bees and manufacturing bee hives.

The WBC hive was designed in 1890 by William Broughton Carr. It is classified as a double walled hive (lift and box) and is the iconic image of a hive, usually painted white. The inner boxes are made of thinner timber than the National, making it lighter. The WBC brood chamber takes 10 long lug frames.
