This is a special package which includes a complete working hive including overwintered bees. The package includes:

One Deep Brood Box with a full colony - Includes a complete 11 frame over wintered colony (Worker Bees, Drones, Brood, Stores, Queen, dummy board)

One Brood Box - Shallow with 10 Frames (with foundation wax) and 1 dummy

Wired floor (for varroa control) Board

Queen Excluder - wooden frame with bee space

One Honey Super with 10 Frames (with foundation wax)

One Crown Board

One Feeding Eke

Metal Covered Roof - 4" Deep

National bee hives are single walled hives are are excellent for beginners as they have long lugs on the frames which make the frames easier to handle. This hive has been specifically put together with beginners in mind and includes dummy boards, plastic frame spacers, queen excluder with bee space and feeding Eke to make hive management and honey production as easy as possible. The deep box comes complete with an established colony from our own apiary.

All our hives are made exclusively hand made in our own workshop from British Western Red Cedar timber.

All purchases of complete bee hives come with bee keeping support from our own bee keeper who has 40 years of experience keeping bees and manufacturing bee hives.

The hive will be sealed up and ready and safe for transport. Only the floor and brood box contains bees and is compact, not too heavy and secure for transportation
