Perfect for aspiring beekeepers, this one-day course combines hands-on experience, theory, and expert guidance. Held at our apiary on the scenic North Downs, it provides everything you need to start keeping bees with confidence.
In the afternoon, you’ll suit up and open a working hive, inspect frames, and observe the colony in action. If we’re lucky, you might even spot the queen or a bee emerging!
Lawrence Homewood — With 50 years of beekeeping experience, Lawrence brings a wealth of practical knowledge and a hands-on teaching approach. The morning session includes theory and demos, while the afternoon focuses on real hive inspections and honey handling.
Please do not attend if you are allergic to bee stings.
