Our One Day Intermediate beekeeping course will be run at the Hanging Wood Apiary and Beekeeping Centre in Woldingham, Surrey.
The course is intended for novice beekeepers who understand the basics and would like to extend their knowledge. Before booking this course, you should understand and have experience with the following: the life cycle of the worker bee, the drone bee, and the queen bee, and be able to identify each; understand the requirements of the bees; have handled bees; and be able to identify eggs, grubs, and sealed worker and drone brood, queen cells, pollen stores, sealed honey, and liquid honey.
The Course Outline:
Your instructor is Lawrence Homewood who has over 40 years experience keeping bees.
Safety
Beesuits and gloves will be provided but please bring clean wellington boots.
Please do not attend the course if you have an allergy to bee stings.

The course is run at Hanging Wood Farm on the North Downs near Woldingham
Tea and coffee will be provided during the breaks
We have an eco toilet and hand washing facilities

We do not offer refunds for cancelled bookings but instead offer change of date or attendees.
